Meet the Couple Behind Placencia Ocean Breeze™
Ocean Breeze is owned and operated by Craig Densham and Risa Scutellaro, whose shared vision and love for travel led them to create a different kind of Belize resort experience.
Craig Densham, born in the UK and raised near Newcastle, England, spent over two decades in Tampa, Florida building a successful career in software engineering and real estate. With a passion for building systems, infrastructure, and meaningful guest experiences, Craig oversees the resort’s operations, technology, and day-to-day functionality — ensuring everything runs smoothly while preserving the relaxed boutique atmosphere guests appreciate.
Risa Scutellaro, born on Long Island and raised in Florida, brings more than 30 years of business experience along with a natural warmth and love for hospitality. She is the heart of guest relations at Ocean Breeze, known for her attention to detail and her ability to make every guest feel like family — whether helping plan a beach day, celebrating a special occasion, or sharing stories at Toucan Jack’s Tiki Bar.

What began as a dream of retiring from office work evolved into the creation of a resort designed around meaningful connections, personalized service, and a deep appreciation for Belize’s culture and natural beauty.
