At Ocean Breeze, we accept the official currency of Belize, which is the Belizean Dollar (BZD) as well as USD.

During the summer at Ocean Breeze, the typical temperature ranges from 80°F to 90°F (27°C to 32°C). Guests can enjoy warm and sunny days perfect for beach activities and relaxation.

The rainy season in Belize typically occurs from June to November, with the highest rainfall usually experienced in September and October. During this period, you can expect occasional heavy showers and thunderstorms, so it's advisable to be prepared for wet weather if you visit Belize during the rainy season.

In Belize, the standard voltage is 110 V and the frequency is 60 Hz (the same as the US). The power plugs and sockets are of type A and B. If your device's plug is different, you may need a plug adapter or converter to ensure compatibility with the electrical outlets in Belize.

The minimum age requirement to rent a golf cart is 18 years old with a valid driver's license.

The drive from Belize City to Placencia takes approximately 2.5 hours via the Western and Coastal Plain Highways, offering a scenic journey to our location.

To vacation in Belize, you'll need a valid passport. Here are the key requirements:

1. Passport Validity: Your passport must be valid for at least 30 days after your arrival.

2. Visa Requirements: Most tourists, including those from the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, the European Union, and many other countries, do not need a visa for stays up to 30 days. However, if you plan to stay longer, you'll need to apply for a Visitor's Permit Extension1.

3. Proof of Departure: You must have a return ticket or proof of onward travel.

4. Sufficient Funds: You'll need to show that you have enough funds to cover your stay.

5. Exit Fee: There is a departure fee of approximately US$40, which may be included in your airline ticket.

Are you planning a trip to Belize soon?

Visitors are welcome to stay in Belize for 30 days with the visitor’s permit provided upon arrival. If you find yourself falling in love with Belize and wish to extend your stay, you can request a one-month extension from the Immigration and Nationality Department. Prospective immigrants have the option to renew their permits monthly or eventually apply for Belize Permanent Residency.

Several airlines fly to Belize, mainly arriving at Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport in Belize City. From the US, you can fly with American Airlines, Delta, United, Southwest, and Alaska Airlines. From Canada, Air Canada and WestJet offer seasonal flights. Tropic Air and COPA Airlines serve Central America. For Europe, you can connect through major hubs like London Heathrow.
