Placencia Village, Belize came alive this weekend with lights, laughter, and Caribbean rhythm as locals and travelers gathered for the annual Placencia Christmas Market — a tropical celebration that blended seaside charm, community spirit, and holiday joy.
A Market Full of Holiday Spirit
As the sun set over the Caribbean, the Placencia Municipal Pier transformed into a glowing festival of twinkling lights and smiling faces. Vendors from across southern Belize lined the boardwalk, offering handcrafted art, tropical ornaments, Belizean cocoa, and spiced rum treats.
Santa made his grand arrival by boat — greeted by cheers from children and families gathered along the docks. The salty breeze carried the sound of Punta rhythms and laughter as locals and visitors mingled under the stars.
Wellness Meets Celebration
Among the many talented vendors, Risa Scutellaro and Linda Hayes drew a lively crowd at their PartnerCo booth, where they shared natural health and wellness products and advice for starting the new year strong.
“Placencia has such an incredible energy,” said Risa. “It’s the perfect place to celebrate community and share wellness with people who want to live fully and feel their best.”

Locals and visitors gathered at Placencia Point to watch the parade make its grand finale at the dock, closing out the evening in true Belizean style.
Boats glided past shimmering reflections, horns sounded, and the crowd sang along to carols echoing over the bay. It was the perfect way to wrap up an unforgettable night — a celebration that truly captured the spirit of Christmas in the tropics.

And when the market lights dimmed, the party continued. One Love Nightclub kept the energy alive well into the early hours, with locals and visitors dancing under the stars to reggae, soca, and Belizean beats.
